Honda Neowing - A Hybrid Leaning Trike

Neowing Concept from Honda has a futuristic design. It is a trike motorcycle with two wheels up front and one at the rear.

The concept has been styled to emphasize the mechanical nature of a two-wheeled motorcycle, despite the fact that it has three wheels.
It is designed to offer excellent cornering capabilities and impressive low speed stability.

Three crucial patent applications related to Neowing were published recently. The patents disclose a design which reduces the spacing between left and right front wheels. This helps in achieving smaller vehicle width. Excellent cornering capability is achieved by varying the limit of the turning angle of the front wheels according to the swinging angle. Calculation of an appropriate operation amount in conformity with the driver’s intention: i.e. achieve a smooth operation of the actuator. Under the sporty and well sculpted bodywork, the Neowing is powered by a hybrid powertrain that combines a horizontally opposed four-cylinder engine with electric motors.

Honda is planning a world premiere of Honda Neowing at the end of the October, 2016.
