With all of the new inventions that have been released over the last decade, it is difficult to keep up to date with all of the great little gadgets that were introduced with one main objective: to make our lives easier.
From making quicker payments, to ensuring you never run out of phone juice, there are a multitude of gadgets that deserve some recognition for how much they have changed our lives.
Let’s look at six of the best gadgets:
A universal remote control – This one has been around for a while, and we can thank this gadget for solving all the ‘where’s the remote?’ debates across the world. Having multiple remote controls was seriously inconvenient, and always took longer if you needed to change between the two. The universal remote is straightforward and much more difficult to lose.
Portable phone battery – Whether travelling or on a night out, there was always the inevitable threat of the dreaded phone battery death – unless you had one of those old Nokia phones that had batteries which could last for weeks. Smartphones are notorious for running out of battery, and if you like to spend a lot of time browsing on the internet, playing music through your phone and other power-sapping activities, then having a portable battery pack for your phone has most likely changed your life forever.
Tile – If you struggle with losing things frequently, then using Bluetooth trackers such as Tile could be exactly what you need. It is a handy little device that will track your item after you have attached it onto whatever you please. A handy example can be attaching the tile onto your keys so you never lose them again.
WiFi Range Extender – If there is an area of your home that doesn’t pick up your WiFi signal, or there is somewhere that you spend a lot of time but it struggles to connect to the internet, then the WiFi range extender is a great solution for picking up that desperately needed signal.
Google Chromecast – Want to watch Netflix from your TV but don’t have a Smart TV? No problem, just plug this little Google Chromecast device into a HDMI port and your TV will be able to access all of the great apps that a Smart TV possesses.
Bluetooth Headphones – Wireless headphones are a great help for those who wish to exercise without being tangled in the wires of your headphones. Even if you’re not using them for exercise, they’re great due to their ease and sophisticated nature.
You can’t argue that some of these gadgets have made your life a lot easier. Massive changes have been made over the years, especially in how we’d pay for our gadgets, or bill at a restaurant. Who would have thought 10 years ago that you would be able to go into a shop without any money or bank cards, and make a transaction through your mobile phone?
It’s brilliant, and it’s only going to continue as we see more technological advances resulting in more gadgets being invented, continuing to make our lives even easier.
