Walmart’s drones will be equipped with 360 cameras and specialized image analysis processors. The images processors will quickly analyze the 360 images and identify attacks. Once the drones start flying, they start sensing their environment for attacks. For example, if a bird is detected too close to the delivery drone, the deliver drone automatically performs evasive maneuvers to steer away from the bird.
Similarly, if a second drone is identified nearby the delivery drone. Then, based on the type of attack, the countermeasures are activated. The patent also teaches technology to tackle other types of attacks on the drone such as RF hacking. This technology makes the flight of the delivery drones a lot safer.
