Ford patents a car that doubles as a doctor on wheels.
Ford has introduced a whole new dimension to safe traveling by taking care of your health while you drive. This patent describes a car intelligent enough to know the medical conditions of the vehicle occupants and provide assistance in case of medical emergencies. The invention connects to your smartphone and automatically retrieves all medical information including any susceptibility to environmental conditions such as pollen and extreme cold. The car then continuously monitors both the environmental conditions that may trigger medical symptoms and the health of the occupants through medical monitoring equipment. When an adverse environmental condition is detected, the car warns the occupants and provides suggestions. In case a medical emergency is detected, the car automatically dials 911 and meanwhile provides medical guidance in the form of what pills to take and the nearest drug store where the pills are available.
